Donaldson uploaded his videos to YouTube at the age of 13 and used the username "MrBeast6000". The channel began out posting Let's Plays and "videos estimating how wealthy other YouTubers" content. He became famous in the year 2017 after his "Counting to 100,000" video garnered tens to thousands of views in just days. Donaldson hired many of his childhood friends as helpers to run his growing channel. MrBeast is Donaldson's primary YouTube channel.
