Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22nd 1975) is an American actress. Numerous awards have been presented to her including the Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe, five Emmy Award nominations and the BAFTA nomination. She belongs to the Barrymore actor family and the grand-daughter of John Barrymore. Barrymore gained fame as a child actress through her part in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. After a turbulent early life filled with alcohol and drugs dependence, she wrote Little Girl Lost, an autobiography. Then, she appeared in a string of successful films in the 1990s, including Poison Ivy, Boys on the Side, Mad Love, Batman Forever, Scream and Ever After. Barrymore made appearances in a number of films alongside Adam Sandler, including The Wedding Singer 50 First Dates, and Blended. Barrymore achieved fame as a child actress with her role in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. In the wake of a publicized childhood plagued by drugs and alcohol abuse, she released her autobiography Little Girl Lost. In the 90s she was in a variety of films, including Poison, Boys on the Side and Mad Love.
