Moss was born on the 13th of February, 1977. He is an American football player.
He was an American footballer who played for 14 years within the National
Football League (NFL) which included the Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders
and the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans. The most admired wide
receiver of all-time along with Jerry Rice, he holds the NFL single-season
touchdown reception record (23 in 2007) and the NFL single-season record for
touchdown reception for a rookie (17 in 1998) and is ranked second in the NFL
all-time regular season touchdown list, with 156. Moss was well-known for his
skill in securing his contested catch "mossed" is today a football
word. Following football, he began working with ESPN as an analyst in its
studios for the Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night Countdown programs. Moss
was born in Rand, West Virginia. Moss was a student at DuPont High School. This
was one of the two schools that were later amalgamated to form Riverside High
School. He excelled in basketball, football and baseball. Randy was also on the
school’s debate team. On the football field, Moss led the DuPont Panthers to
state championships in back-to-back years in 1993 and 1992. He was a star at
wide receiver as well as playing free safety in return punts and kickoffs, as
well as was the team's kicker and punter. He received the Kennedy Award in 1994
as West Virginia's Football Player of the Year. Parade magazine named him to
their annual All-American high school football team in 1995 and in 2009 named
him one of the 50 greatest footballers from high schools ever.
